Ludmil Bonev

Ludmil Bonev was born on the 3rd of September 1954 in the town of Tryavna  a

major cultural centre during the
Bulgarian Renaissance, famous for its

wood-plastic and iconographie art schools. Since 1958 he has been living in Sofia

where he
graduated the  School of Fine Arts. In 1981 he graduated the

Academy of Fine Arts Sofia, at professor Daskalov, sculpture course. The same

year he
won a competition and was appointed regular lecturer at the High School

of Decorative Arts - specialities "painting" and "plastic anatomy".

In the course of two years he has been
in charge of specialities "wood plastics" and

"design of the interior" in painting at the
Academy of Fine Arts-Sofia,

1981 he has gained his own place in the artistic life here in
Bulgaria, joining a

number of national and joint exhibitions. Some of his works have also been

presented at Bulgarian exhibitions abroad.

Ludmil Bonev works In the sphere of
monumental plastic art and so far has

acomplished
six sculpture compositions in bronze, granite and marble, which are to

be found
at central places in various towns of Bulgaria At the International

symposium on sculpture
held in Bourgas - Bulgaria, Ludmil Bonev was awarded the

first prize. He has been granted a diploma issued by the international symposium

on sculpture held in
Vilani - Hungary. His acknowledgements include also:
