Artist Statement
I am definitely an artist of expression, both in terms of sensitivity and temper, and I am never
tired of experimenting and searching for new forms of expression. Emotion has a leading role
in my creations and this in turn determines the prevalence of the color over the shape of line.
In most cases, a starting point in my compositions, which sometimes reach the boundaries of
abstraction, is always the actual reality or some of its specific elements. The human body, and
specifically the naked female body, the most unique creation of nature, combines in itself the
beauty, elegance, poetry, love and, last but not least, the eroticism, and has always been and
will be the object of my quest as each act of rediscovering it, has always brought me utmost
delight and inspiration.
