Velizar Dimov about Art Contemporary plastic art is a field of activity the main challenges of which are originality, uniqueness and discovery. We admire the great masters of art as they smack us with their enormous artistic energy and intellectual power. The only slight hope to give this field a part of me I see immeasurably small as compared to the amount of ignorance . Having in mind that each individual has their own sphere of knowledge and the rest of infinity is what one does not know. I realized it is better to explore the realms of the unknown rather than the small enclosed sphere of our meager knowledge. From this question logically follows: How are we to overcome the limitations of our own culture and knowledge which we cherish so much? It is in that light of self-criticism that the problem of all those who indulge discovery lies. In other words, if I make use of the twenty or fifty compositional schemes I know, my paintings will not stand out from those of my colleagues. This would take me to triviality and repetitiveness. Having followed a certain way of doing things I found myself in an unknown area of plastic and impression and it was not by chance that I feared the question if what I was doing were paintings. It was neither like Picasso nor like anybody else.It was the most difficult obstacle to overcome.Once I succeeded, it was easy further on. I realized I should have been glad this question cropped up. I had just stepped outside the sphere of my knowledge and floated in the immense space of the unknown. I called this manner of working "A method of not making." So I succeeded in not creating this picture.
