Artist Statement
To paint is an expression of my deep inner needs.
I am inspired by themes common to all mankind -from birth to death, the relation of a man with Mother Earth,
with micro and macro cosmos and looking for harmony with them, with man itself, the theme of man who is trying
to find his place and vocation.
I am working in the field of monumental and fine arts-mosaic, fresco, glass staining, ceramic, woodcarving and
painting on wood and canvas.
I am different from other painters inwardly – in the way of thinking and outwardly – in the forming, coloring and
the organic unity of the painting and the carved frame.
My paintings are my messages ‘dressed’ in color and shape. Everyone can discover this messages through his
own understanding and sensation.
I derive inspiration from the spiritual roots of our lands. I am trying to grasp the whisper of time and to give it
modern visual form in my paintings.
I can say that I already have my own plastic alphabet in expressing myself in art.
I feel myself ‘an instrument’ in God’s hands. In life my wife, my family and my friends have always inspired me
spiritually.
